Alexander “Al” King, 92, Decatur, Ga., of complications from a heart attack on Feb. 6. A longtime advocate of the licensing of landscape architect, he helped spearhead legislation to create the Georgia Board of Landscape Architects in 1958. King’s six decades as a landscape architect included work in Nashville and Atlanta; he also managed developments in the Southeast United States for the federal Department of Housing and Urban Development. He also served as president of the Georgia chapter of the American Society of Landscape Architects .
